Mandy, a 5 year old blue female, placed in Payson on January 1st.  Mandy was turned in for housebreaking problems and the owner no longer wanted her since they were getting new carpet.  Days after coming into rescue, Mandy was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor.  She had successful surgery and a biopsy showed the cancerous tumor as a Grade II.  Her new home will watch her carefully for any new growths.  Mandy lives happily on her new ranch with senior rescue IGs Mini and Maya (adopted in 2003), and young Bug.

Lola (formerly Emma), a 6 month old blue pied female, placed in Gilbert on March 19th.   Lola was purchased at a petstore in Scottsdale and turned into rescue after only a week when her owner 'threw' her across the room when she piddled on the floor and broke her leg.  The owner brought her to the vet to be euthanized, but Lola had a lot of guardian angles who convinced the owner to turn over ownership, and she was then brought into rescue.  We want to thank Yorkie Rescue in Sedona for helping us out. Lola spent the next 8 weeks recovering from her broken limb, was spayed, and went into her new adoptive home with fellow IG Sophia!
