Bella is a 6 year old blue fawn and white female placed in Scottsdale on January 17th.  Bella was turned in to rescue November 8th when her owner could no longer keep her and her housemate Maggie.  Bella loves people and is quite the little socialite with anyone who walks in the door.  There are no strangers in Bella’s world!  When Bella’s foster mom walked through the door it was mutual love at first sight and ‘foster mom’ quickly became ‘mom’.  Bella shares her new home with IG Tux and IG Rescue Pebbles [see Placements 2008].  Tux is SO taken with Bella he sometimes makes concessions for his own comfort to wiggle in next to her.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Blue was adopted in Phoenix on Valentine’s Day 2009.  Blue was born June 26th 2005 and was turned in to rescue in May of 2007 for marking in the house.  Blue is a gentleman in his forever home after being neutered and with having access to a dog door.  Blue LOVES to jog with his mom or go for walks, play tug with plush toys and long sleeve shirts [while people are wearing them of course!], snuggle with his older IG housemates Gideon and Lucas and play with younger IG housemate George [2005 placements].  His favorite thing though, may be to snuggle with Mom under the covers for TV time, or maybe better than THAT is to have bits of bacon every so often as a Saturday morning treat during pack time.  He also loves to play ‘I’m WAY faster than the Daddy-Can’t Catch Me, Wanna Try??!’.  When he isn’t busy with all of these activities, Blue likes to ensure the house is in proper order by counter surfing to alert the family when something has been left out of its proper place.  Blue is helpful with the rescue effort by giving rescue dogs that visit or stay in his home a friendly and playful welcome. Plus he often goes along on home visits so maybe you will meet him!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Tato is a 3.5 year old fawn male who was placed in Mesa on February 14th.  Tato joined our rescue program Oct 16th 2008 when his previous owners moved to a place that does not allow pets.  Tato is a big IG who is more than 18” at the shoulder but he came in to rescue VERY overweight at 30 lbs.  Tato has shed over four pounds and his new family makes sure he has proper portions, regular walks and only healthy fresh fruits and veggies for snacks to help him achieve an even better weight. Tato is gentleman and he loves everyone. He is happy with his new family that includes four children and an IG housemate named Simon. There is always fun stuff to do and attention to be had and Tato is teaching Simon to play!  Tato gets to sleep snuggled between Mom and Dad at night and he is being a trooper about getting his teeth brushed before bedtime though he doesn’t like it much and he doesn’t fit on Mom’s lap well for the cleanings like little Simon does!

Bella and Toby are seven month old littermates and were placed in Paradise Valley on March 8, 2009.  Bella and Toby were released to Hearts United rescue group in the midwest as a result of a puppy mill downsizing.  Both puppies were very ill with parvo when they came to Hearts United but with hospitalization and loving care, they came through and are now healthy and happy.   Bella and Toby were blessed to catch the eye of home open to adopting a high energy playful pair of pups [which can be a lot of work!] and their Arizona Mom and Dad flew round trip to Nebraska to get them after seeing their pictures and hearing their story.  Bella and Toby now have a very large yard with lots of grass and plants to explore and play in and a cozy little room of their own with a dog door to rest in when they are tuckered out and need to nap.  They are learning to walk on leashes and use the dog door and little Bella helps her bigger brother along with her confident lead.  Both dogs are learning that its ok to be a couch buddy when the family settles down for the night! Many thanks to IGCA Rescue Nebraska, Hearts United, and especially Bella and Toby’s Mom and Dad for giving this special pair of IG pups the loving home and comforts they deserve.

[If you are set on adopting a puppy instead of a mature dog, please keep in mind that often, the cost of a round trip airline ticket and rescue expenses combined are equal to or even much less than you would pay to purchase a puppy from a petstore or backyard breeder.  Please consider this as an option if you are able or consider placing your application on a rescue waiting list if you would rather wait for a pup to enter rescue nearer to your home.]

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Alfalpha renamed Nikko is a 2 year old fawn and white male who was placed in Goodyear on April 10th [he is wearing the purple collar in the picture].  Nikko entered the rescue program on November 10 2008 when a person who owned other IGs got Nikko through Craig’s list, couldn’t keep him, and felt we would do a good job finding him a home. Alf LOVES to play and he shares his new home with IG Nina and a large cat named Buddy who likes to play with dogs. Nikko is a velcro dog and is blessed to have four people [EIGHT HANDS!] to choose from when he wants attention! Nikko is settling in to his new home quickly and without the anxiety he had when he entered the rescue program.  His lets his mom not only thoroughly brush his teeth every night without complaint, but allows her to FLOSS too when needed for his misdirected canines!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Benny [left in the family photo] is a 3.5 year old blue and white male who was placed in Sun City on April 27th.  Benny was renamed Momo after a little boy named Momotaro in a Japanese children’s book who came to a couple as a gift from heaven.  Momo came in to the rescue program on March 27 along with two other IGs, Cookie and Cherry when their owner could no longer care for them due to home forclosure and moving challenges.   Before coming into rescue, Momo was kept as an outdoor dog and he greatly enjoys the luxury of an indoor life.  Momo CRAVES constant attention and is blessed to have a family who spends lots of time with him.  Momo shares his home with a Greyt girl named Shiro and IG Mikito whose name means Little Prince [seen also in 2008 placements].

Momo’s new home was found within a day of him entering the rescue program because we had the applicant’s information on file and knew about their home and the type of dog that would work well for them.  If you don’t see the right dog for you on our website, and are patiently awaiting the arrival of the ‘right dog’, please consider submitting an application so we can get to know you now.  When we learn of an IG entering rescue that might match your home, we will call you!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Misty is a 7 year old blue pied female who was placed in Phoenix on May 2nd.  Misty was turned into rescue due to the death of her owner. Misty is a wonderful dog, a great cuddle buddy, and is so happy with her new family, which includes another IG, Lucy. Misty settled right into her new home and sleeps with the young man in the family. They are all so thrilled!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Cherry, now affectionately called Ma Cherie, is a stunningly beautiful 2 year old white and red fawn pied female who was placed in Las Vegas on May 9th.  Cherry was brought into the rescue program on March 27th with her sire Benny and her brother Cookie when their owner needed to rehome them due to the challenges of home foreclosure and moving.  Before coming in to rescue, Cherry was an outdoor dog and was not used to human attention.  Cherry came a long way in a short time in foster care.  She bonded closely with her foster Dad and got so she would follow him everywhere, tapdancing for attention when he sat too long at the computer and putting on her happy face when he would take her for walks.

Cherry will enjoy her new home even more since her Mom is retired and will be giving Cherry A LOT of attention and will be taking her regularly on errands and for walks which is exactly what Cherry needs to continue learning that the world is a fun and interesting place.  In the evenings, Cherry will have cuddle time with her Dad when he’s home from work.  Cherry has let her new family know that she learned a lot of important lessons about being a house dog and is now well acquainted with the good things that come out of the microwave and refridgerator by being quite attentive when there are happenings in the kitchen— that was one of those fun lessons she learned from her Foster Dad [oops].

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Bella is a 6 month old fawn and white female who was placed in Mesa on May 25th.  Bella came into the rescue program February 26, 2009 when her owners learned they would be needing to move just days after they had gotten Bella. Bella is a happy go lucky puppy.  She gets along with everyone and is always on the go—she is HIGH ENERGY and LOVES TO PLAY so she will enjoy sharing her home with fellow female IG Kahina [means Grey Goddess!] who is also very young and playful.  Kahina and Mom are hoping to get Bella involved in lure coursing and agility which will be fantastic fun for everyone and good for a smart little girl like Bella!  If that doesn’t turn out to be Bella’s strong suit, she and Kahina have a huge grassy back yard to play in to burn off energy between puppy naps where they can curl up together in their very own bedroom that they will share when no one is home.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Niles is an 12 year old blue and white male [born 02/1997] who came into rescue Sep 28th, 2008.  Niles’ family experienced changes that made it difficult for them to keep him [new baby, elder care for parent...] and they thought he would enjoy a home that is less active than their home is now.  Niles was placed on 06/27/09 in Georgetown Tx.  Niles is blind. Niles lost his sight in his left eye several years ago after trauma from an accident with a dog toy. Niles still has his left eye but the fluid in it has been replaced so it is like a ‘living prosthetic’-- it gives him a very alert expression!   In Sep 2007 Niles developed glaucoma in his right eye which has been removed.  Niles is SO blessed to have captured the eye of a long time IG owner who has lived with and loved several blind dogs so Niles has expert loving help adapting to his new home.  Niles shares his home with several other gentle special needs or senior dogs, including Scarlett placed in 2006 [who is also blind] and her brother Walter who was transferred to live with Scarlett in Jan 2009. Niles has done well in a short time acclimating to his new home and is enjoying his new life in good company.  He has mapped out his home and figured out the best napping spots!  Niles is pictured with his chauffers who graciously got up at 2am to drive him to El Paso Tx from Phx [12 hrs round trip!], his AWESOME owner who drove 17 hours! round trip to meet him,  and last but NOT least importantly, with his housemates, for whom we owe all the thanks in the world for making him feel at home.  We love you all.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Cosmo is a 3.5 year old blue and white male who was placed in Phoenix May 20th.  Cosmo was brought into the rescue program on March 28th when he needed a dental and his owner could not afford to provide this for him.  Cosmo is very friendly and gets along with everyone.  He likes other dogs and now lives with three other IGs, a Dalmation Mix, and 2 children who love to play!   Cosmo has a grassy back yard to lounge in and lots of open space in his new home to run around in.  Cosmo is happy too that his mom is home a lot to give him extra attention!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Petey is a 10 year old blue and white nuetered male who was placed in Scottsdale on July 3rd.  Petey came in to the rescue program on June 19, 2009 because he was marking in the house. Petey is VERY outgoing.  He loves human attention and he LOVES to play with other dogs.  Petey will have plenty of play time with frequent trips to the dog park with his new pack which includes a playful younger female IG mix recently rescued from animal control where she wasn’t doing well [yay!], 2 senior IGs [aged 15 and 16], two Maltese and Min Pin who are each around 10 years old and a Yorkie who might be around 13.  Petey has a benign form of Lupus and like many IGs in Arizona, develops hemangiomas [a type of vascular lesion that can look like a ‘blood blister’] and his new home is perfect for him since most of the yard is shaded and limiting sun exposure helps with both of these conditions.  Though Petey was used to sleeping in a crate in his previous home or in a dog bed on the floor [in foster care], he LOVES to sleep snuggled up to his person if allowed and he will be very happy sleeping snuggled up close to his mom in his new home.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Annie now fondly called Anni Belle is a black/seal and white puppy who is approx 10 months old.  Anni was found in June running in traffic and was given to an all breed rescue organization that gladly accepted our offer to help this VERY energetic pup.   Anni is a HANDFUL!  Anni was placed in Glendale on July 4th, 2009 after her owner did not claim her.  Anni is now spayed and has found a wonderful home with two high energy IGs boys named Max and Enzo [see 2008 placements].  The boys are content to let her ‘be the boss’ as she likes to do.  Anni likes to pick the ‘best spot’ in the bed and encourage her brothers into letting her have it by stretching out right on top of them until they give it to her.  They move... After a while.  Girl Power! Anni Belle loves every one though we know Daddy likes to think of her mostly has being ‘Daddy’s Girl’  :)  Anni’s puppy attitude keeps everyone on their toes but who could resist Anni Belle?!!  She loves the sound of her name and comes running from long distances to see what you want when you call Anni! Anni! Anni! then looks you in the eye to ask ‘what next’! You tell us Anni Belle!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Gizmo is a 2.5 year old red/fawn and white male [born 10/30/2006] who was adopted in Palm Desert CA on July 4th, 2009.  Gizmo entered the rescue program with two other IGs [Star and his sister Jade] on June 7th after his family moved and had difficulty getting their larger pack [9 dogs] acclimated to the new house and routine.  Gizmo can be shy with people at first but he spent his first few days in his new home on the laps of his owners getting all the petting that could be fit into each day!  Gizmo shares his home with a Westie named Dolly who FINALLY, after several days, enticed him to get off the laps and DO some laps around the back yard her.  They now play a regular game of chase in the morning and are learning to enjoy each other’s company more each day.  Gizmo is fortunate to live with a family where someone is home most of the time and who allows him to snuggle up with them at bedtime which is Paradise for this young fella who loves attention.  Gizmo had a broken leg as a puppy and though it healed without incident and is now healthy, Gizmo does not like to jump—that said, Gizmo has apparently learned it is an easy and comfortable jump from Mom’s lap to Dad’s if one petting partner runs low on energy!  He always has help up and down if he prefers but he is getting more confident all the time.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Star [on the right, under an arm of course!] is an elegant 4 year old blue and white female [born 05/19/05] who was placed in Phoenix on July 14th 2009.  Star entered the rescue program with two other IGs [Gizmo and Jade] on June 7th after her family moved and had difficulty getting their larger pack [9 dogs] acclimated to the new house and routine.  Though Star can be a bit shy at first,  it was pretty much love at first sight when Star met her owner and she choose him without hesitation by planting herself on his lap and laying her head firmly against him.  Star is blessed to have chosen an owner who works from home and she gets to cuddle up next him in her plush bed on the couch with her housemates while he works during the day and gets to follow him around and stretch in the yard when it’s time for a break.  Star is happily getting to endulge her ‘velcro dog’ personality with pure abandon.  When Star is NOT glued to her owner’s side, she shares her home with a 15 year old Chi mix named Rascal who’s a little senile, 1.5 yr old shy male IG named Pickles, 3 yr old female diva IG named Chrissy, and a senior terrier mix named Birdie who is as easy going as they come.  Star has made good friends with all of them but her presence has given shy little  Pickles extra courage, and he now has a loyal crate snuggle partner when he wants to take a quiet break.  Chrissy grooms Stars her ears for her now, which was a little much at first [do I know you??!].  Star loves to sleep snuggled up with her family in the bed at night, another Blessing for her!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Jade is a 2.5 year old fawn and white female [born 10/30/2006] who was adopted in Goodyear on July 18th, 2009.  Jade entered the rescue program with two other IGs [her brother Gizmo and housemate Star] on June 7th after her family moved and had difficulty getting their larger pack [9 dogs] acclimated to the new house and routine.

Jade is TINY.  She is approx 12 inches at the shoulder and weighs only 6.5 lbs!  Jade has misaligned canine teeth [the long teeth in front] and she is VERY blessed to have found a family who is willing to keep up on brushing her teeth thoroghly and regularly so she doesn’t loose these very important teeth at a young age.  Jade shares her home with IG Nina, IG Rescue Nikko [see above], and Buddy the playful dog loving cat.  Jade gets to sleep in bed curled up with her folks and the rest of the pack and she gets to spend A LOT of time curled up in a little ball on mom’s lap or following mom around.  Jade still ‘waves’ one little paw high over her head when she wants something— High Five Jade!  We’re glad you found such a terrific home!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Cookie now called Cook is a handsome 2 year old red fawn and white male [on the right] who was placed in Scottsdale on July 23rd.  Cook was brought into the rescue program on March 27th with his sire Benny and his sister Cherry when their owner needed to rehome them due to the challenges of home foreclosure and moving. Cook was an outdoor dog and is learning to to be an indoor family member.    Cook is very fortunate to have patient owners who have experience working with a timid and fearful IG.  Even though Cook is very shy, he loves cuddling under the blanket at night with his owners and sleeps well through the night snuggled up with his family. Cook shares his home with IG Cleo and rescue IG Lance [2007].   Cook and Lance especially are becoming good friends and have been seen snuggling together.  Though Cook is still a bit to nervous in his new surroundings to play much when his owners are home, they are finding Lance’s large stuffed toy around the house in new and unusual places so they know he’s settling in and having a lot of fun when no one is looking.   Cook enjoys going for walks and has learned how to swim!  Since Cook’s family has an unfenced pool, they had to teach him to get out of it for his safety.  Cook is a quick learner and they report that he can now swim like a little otter and he glides through the pool to the steps with no splashing!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Darla renamed Dharma is a 9 year old white and blue pied female who was placed in Tucson on July 25th.  Dharma was brought into the rescue program on May 27th, 2009 when her owner had to move out of state for work and thought Darla would be happier staying in Arizona. Dharma is soaking up all the love and attention she is getting in her new home.  Dharma loves to be her mom’s little white shadow around the house.  Dharma used to living with bigger dogs and now shares her home with a senior Weim named Jessie.  Jessie has been an only dog and doesn’t quite know what to make of all the fuss that is made over little Dharma but she is slowing warming up to the idea that Dharma is family. Dharma is working through the challenges of learning to operate a Weim size dog door---she’ll get it soon!  Though Jessie has her very own bed and bedroom, Dharma is happy sleeping on a dog bed near her owner at night.  Dharma came into rescue over weight but she is now has a very svelt figure thanks to the proper diet and regular exercise she got in her foster home.  Dharma’s owners take her on regular morning walks with Jessie to keep her in shape!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Isabelle is a beautiful 9 year old fawn and white female placed in Phoenix on Sep 2nd.  Isabelle first came into rescue with her littermate Paolo in Oct 2008 after they were turned in together to a shelter.  Isabelle and Paolo were adopted together in Jan 2009 but were returned to the rescue program in June when a younger Whippet in their new home bit Isabelle.  Both dogs have now found wonderful families to share their lives with [see Paolo's Placement below].  Prior to being adopted, Isabelle had to be treated by a veterinary dental specialist because her mouth was so badly infected a regular dental was not going to help her.  Isabelle required a double skin graft to close a very large fistula on one side of her mouth [hole left from a prior tooth extraction that can open into the nasal cavity and was bothering her] and a single skin graft on the other side after removing her other large canine tooth.  One of Isabelle’s molars was so badly infected there was a real danger that pulling it could break her jaw since the tooth decay and periodontal disease had started to erode her jaw bone.  Now that Isabelle is no longer in pain from her rotten teeth, she acts more like a two year old puppy than a mature 9 year old!  Please brush your IGs teeth at least every other day!!!  Isabelle shares her home with a little 6 lb 1.5 year old Iggy Princess named Pinot.  Isabelle is helping Pinot to be a more confident dog and Pinot has great fun teasing Isabelle and getting her to play now that Isabelle is feeling better.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Pantz is a 2 year old [estimate] red/fawn male who was placed in Surprise on August 21st.  Pantz was brought into the rescue program on July 18th, 2009 after his owner failed to claim him when he was turned in as a stray to animal control. Poor little Pantz was underweight and covered with dozens of ticks when his IGCA volunteer rescuer brought him home to clean him up.  As you can see, Pantz is now happy with his new family and living the good life with IG housemate Chloe whom he tormented with his non stop energy the first few days he was getting to know her. Chloe and Pantz are becoming good friends and Pantz’s folks are working on channeling his energy in more positive ways with obedience training and walks.  Mr. Smarty Pantz is becoming a gentleman!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Maddie is an elegant 5.5 year old blue and white female who was placed in Scottsdale on August 9th.  Maddie came into rescue on July 29, 2009 when her owner’s work schedule changed after having Maddie only 6 weeks and felt bad that Maddie was having to spend too much time alone.  Maddie is a well mannered friendly dog who loves to be near her owner and is happy she has found a home where there is someone home most of the time.  Maddie shares her home with senior female IG Cricket who is becoming fond of having Maddie for company after being an only dog in recent years.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Puck is an 8 month old blue fawn puppy [DOB 02/06/09] who was placed in Maricopa on October 7th.  Puck came into rescue on June 1st after breaking his leg when he landed wrong jumping off from a couch. Puck’s owners were not prepared for the expense of fixing a broken leg and being new to the breed, they were struggling with managing the high energy and enormous amounts of attention that an Italian Greyhound puppy requires. Puck is ALL ENERGY and shares his new home with a pretty little young female Coton De Tulear named Daisy who is going to get a run for her money when he’s awake and a terrific little snuggle buddy when he wears himself out.

Photo provided courtesy of RedFeather Photography Mesa [THANK YOU!!]

Rescue learned AFTER fixing Puck’s leg that his breeders would have been willing to take him back, care for his leg, and rehome him which is what every responsible breeder will do.  Please, if you have purchased your dog from a breeder, always check with them FIRST to see if they are willing to take back an IG you cannot keep.  They are directly responsible for that life and responsible breeders will want to ensure their pups are loved and well cared for by working to keep them in good homes and to provide for them when others can’t. Allowing the breeder to rehome their pup allows rescue to use its resources to help IGs who do not have that safety net, like Petshop dogs and dogs shipped by high volume internet breeders.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Fresca (pictured left) is a 6 year old blue fawn and white female placed in North Phoenix on September 18. Fresca was brought in to the rescue program April 18 when her owners found that they would have to be traveling more often for work and would be unable to care for her. Fresca gets along with cats, dogs, kids, men, women, everybody!  Fresca loves her humans and is quite the Velcro dog. She loves to cuddle and will even paw at your hand if you stop petting her. She also likes to start rambunctious bouts of play with her canine friends and race around the house. When Fresca snuggled up to her new mom and dad instantly during their first meeting, she won their hearts forever. Fresca now shares her forever home with her Jack Russell roommates, Abby (middle) and Daisy (right). She enjoys cuddling with her new dad on the couch, and sneaking under the covers in bed at night!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Bambi is a 7 month old white and blue pied female who was placed in Tucson November 4th.  Bambi came into rescue October 4, 2009 after the 16 year old she was purchased for showed little interest in giving this high energy playful pup the attention and training she needs.   Bambi is very happy in her new home where she gets lots of attention because there is someone home most of the time.  Bambi gets go to work with her new dad every day and snuggle up with him every evening!  Oh, and did we mention she gets to go for walks everyday?  Doggy Heaven!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Angelina Josephina is a 7.5 year old fawn and white female who was placed in Anthem on November 7th.  Angie came into the rescue program on September 5, 2009 when her family was facing a lot of changes and could not care for her anymore. Angie loves the company of other dogs but she is a little velcro hound her first love is her human.   Angie will get all the attention she craves in her new home since her mom is home most of the time and is looking forward to having little Angie be her constant companion.  Angie shares her new home with another mixed breed senior named Lucy.  Angie is used to being around much larger dogs and will also enjoy the company of a gentle Greyhound and Whippet during frequent family visits!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Smokey is an absolutely stunning 6 year old blue fawn male who was placed in Tucson on November 8th.  Smokey came into rescue on July 31st.  Smokey had several owners in his life but he can be quite a handful and none of his previous homes felt that he was a good match for them. Smokey is an escape artist who can easily jump up over a six foot high concrete fence [or jump up on TOP of one to sit, relax, and watch the neighborhood when he chooses!] but his new family keeps a close eye on him and has learned his tricks and they keep Smokey safe.  Smokey shares his new home with a cat who he gets along with very nicely and he has doggy visitors from time to time to play with.  Smokey’s greatest joy in life though, is cuddling with his humans and Smokey’s owner’s let him snuggle up with them in the bed at night. Dog Heaven!

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Paolo is a handsome 9 year old blue and white male who was placed in Cave Creek on December 5th.  Paolo first came into rescue with his littermate Isabelle in Oct 2008 after they were turned in together to a shelter.  Isabelle and Paolo were adopted together in Jan 2009 but were returned to the rescue program on June 9th, 2009 when a younger Whippet in their new home bit Isabelle. Both dogs have now found wonderful families to share their lives with [see Isabelle's Placements above].

Paolo is an insistent MEGA Velcro dog and who would love to be petted 24/7 and his new owner tries to accommodate him as well as he can.  Paolo is also a very  playful senior who can give the younger dogs a run for their money [often annoying them with his energy and persistence!] and he shares his home with Dash who has found out what it is to receive the kind of attention he’s used to dishing out to others! [see placements 2007].  Paolo also gets play time with IGCA foster dogs since his owner volunteers as a foster home and there are always new dogs to meet, sometimes even puppies who like to pester for play and attention almost as much as Paolo himself!  Paolo is happily spoiled with walks and snuggling in bed with his family.

pawline.gif (1724 bytes)

Mo is an adorable 10.5 year old red and white neutered male who was placed in Phoenix on December 6th.  Mo was brought in to rescue July 11th 2008 when his owner felt that her lifestyle was incompatible with Mo’s needs.  Mo has Cushings Disease.   Prior to coming into rescue, Mo’s Cushings had not been diagnosed or treated.   Mo is doing very well with lots of TLC and medication to help control his symptoms which includes  stronger than usual feelings of hunger and thirst, the need to potty frequently, and restlessness.    Mo is also deaf but you may not realize unless you were told because he is so observant and always wanting to be in the action.   Mo shares his home with several other dogs including Cooper [see 2007 placements] and a cat so there is never a dull moment!  Mo is blessed to have found his forever home and a family that will show him he is loved and appreciated each day in spite of his disease. Mo gives his family as much joy as they give him in return.

Please consider giving a special needs dog a loving forever home.  You might never know a greater joy and none of us are perfect!
